Increased Minimum Wage
The minimum wage used to be $8 an hour. However, on May 1st the minimum wage has been increased to $8.75. Half a year later, the minimum wage will increase to $9.50, and be $10.25 by May 2012. The $6 training wage has also been eliminated.
Since they raised the price of minimum wage, employers will have a tendency to higher less employees to cover how much more they have to pay for their current employees. Which means it will be harder for unemployed people to find jobs. Teenagers and young adults will have a hard time finding jobs where they can use to gain experience. This puts a dent on the chances of them getting full-time jobs due to lack of experience. Also, due to wage increase, the employer would have to raise their product by a bit to cover their lost. This is a problem for the unemployed.

A 19 year old UBC graduate named Brian Wong successfully launched 2 venture ideas. He recent launched his second venture idea called Kiip. He received $4 million for financing a new ad model. His company offer rewards for mobile game players such as vitamin drinks, $100 Sony Tablet, and gift certificates. These gifts will only be offered to players who reach milestones in games on their smartphones and other mobile devices. However, these rewards are only available in the US but Canada will soon follow
I find Brian Wong incredibly thoughtful. At such a young age, he was able to create a venture idea with great success. This creative idea may not attract everyone. However, definitely his venture idea extremely motivated those passionate game players. They finally get rewarded for their achievement and accomplishment.
We all know that technology is improving rapidly. Therefore, the market continuously promote electronics. Young entrepreneurs are talented in developing their own venture idea. For example: Mark Zuckerberg. He is a young entrepreneur who invented Facebook. He made use of technology as a way for people to connect.

I agree that Xerox hasn’t suffered from shortage of talent or technological innovation, but rather having problems in leveraging its talent and technologies. Xerox Corporation’s Palo Alto Research Centre has developed a few computer innovations such as the mouth, the graphical user interface and Macintosh computers. During the years, Xerox has faced many problems. Steve Jobs left Xerox’s research centre to co-found Apple Computer Inc., while others left to build multi-billion dollar corporations. Following that, Xerox has lost its market leadership position in photocopier to Canon. However, the rested stayed to revive the brand and introduce new products. Not for long they quit and decided to join another firm, bringing over their valuable knowledge and relationships with customers. This affected Xerox because the customers would obviously want to stick with their old salesperson, the one who they trust and the one who they think is capable of introducing them the top product. Therefore, for a company to succeed, you must hire employees with experience and talent in order to produce a stream of products and services valued by the marketplace.

The start up cost would be relatively high, which would cost the price of the sushi be a bit higher, compared to other places. This would not stop customers from ordering because they understand how fresh our sushi is and we understand no one would want to spend money eating stale seafood.

Business Ethics And Stakeholders
Business ethics is the behavior that a business sticks to its daily habit. The ethics of a particular business can be different. The business interaction applies to the world as a whole to dealing with a single customer. Many business no doubt would gain bad reputation. Some entrepreneurs are just interested in earning profits, which is called capitalism. This automatically brings up the question of ethical behavior. If a business does not stick to the business ethics and breaks the laws, normally end up being fined.
Positive ethics are built on personal ethics. There is no division between what is right for the business, playing fair, telling the truth, and being ethical in life. Business ethics require a business plan. A business’ ethics are expanded by its image and its future and role in the community. The clearer the plan for growth, stability, profits, and service, the strong the business is committed.
Stakeholder is a person, group, organization, or system who influences or can be influenced by a business's accomplishments. You can use a stakeholder analysis to identify people and groups, which will influence you positively or negatively. It can also develop strategies to gain more support for your initiative and deduct any situations to successful achievement of your plan.

Sustainability
Sustainability is the capability of having minimal long-term effect on the environment. Therefore, I agree that businesses should be more sustainable. Businesses should provide what is best for people and the environment.
The Body Shop, the second largest cosmetic franchise in the world, is a top brand for skin and hair care products. The Body Shop is trying to reduce impact in our environment. They are fighting against climate change. In order to for this to happen, they try to reduce emission and waste by recycling.
To reduce their carbon footprint, they have installed new lightings to reduce their energy use. Also, they have introduced energy-awareness training for their staffs, reduce the amount of travel trips, and switch their car fleet to lower-emission models. In the UK, 65% of the stores are on the renewable energy contracts. Their current goal is to make all their polyethylene terephthalate bottles from this plastic. By using these recycled bottles, they save about 9 million plastic bottles every year. Back in 2008, carrier bags had been replaced with 100% recycled and recyclable paper bags. Also, their gift packagings are made by recycled content. They intend to use minimal amount of packaging materials possible. Many people are aiming to go green, to protect our planet. Customers won’t have to worry about what materials they use and whether their cosmetics are organic because The Body Shop is the first cosmetic retailers to use 100% recycled material.
The effort they show affects me as a customer because recycling is one way to reduce the amount of waste. The whole purpose of recycling is to reduce pollution and protect natural resources.
